Nepalese people are tired of the slow and sluggish internet. Who ever surfs a in internet seeks a high speed internet but till date we haven't found a qualitative Interne Service Provider(ISP).
A sort of ray of hope has been seen as two Nepalese Mobile Operators have introduced the fastest internet ever in Nepal with the speed of 3.6 mbs. Nepal Telecom(NTC) the piooneer company in mobile service recently launched a 3G data card with the speed upto 3.6 mbs which will provide some relief in contrast to those old slow internet for browsing. The cost of the service will be Rs. 0.15/100 Kb. It has provided 3 packages for its customers with small, medium and large packages. It currently is providing its services in 3 major cities kathmandu(inside ringroad) , pokhara and banepa.
Similarly, the other provider of the so called fastest internet of 3.6 mbs is the mobile operator - Ncell. Which is the part of tele soliera renowned company in Europe. It has been providing its services in 14 cities of Nepal. It also provide its service from the Mount Everest base camp. The cost of its service is around Rs.0.25/100 kb.
Though it has said it has provided the fastest internet so far but it is not still economic for the users. Those which seems to be economic has a very slow speed . So we can just wait and watch the improvements and the technologies that the ISPs welcome .
