Madhya Bhotekoshi Hydro power company is issuing IPO to Local people.

 Global IME Capital, the issue manager of Madhya Bhotekoshi Hydro Power, which is currently a floating IPO for the project affected locals of Sindhupalchowk district,The company is issuing 6,000,000 units as IPO to the Locals of Sindhupalchowk at the par value of Rs. 100 per share to raise a capital worth Rs. 60.00 crores.

The company is set to issue a total of 60 lakhs units of shares which is 10% of the total Capital from Baisakh 21, 2078. The earliest closing date is Jestha 02, 2078. If the issue is not subscribed till the earliest closing date then the issue will be extended till Jestha 20, 2078.


 Global IME Capital, the issue manager of Madhya Bhotekoshi Hydro Power has made arrangement for the locals to apply for the IPO online considering the global pandemic COVID 19. The locals resident of Sindhupalchowk district can now visit to submit the necessary verification documents and apply for minimum 50 units to maximum 400 units of  shares. Applicants can pay the required amount digitally whose details are also given in the above portal before applying for the IPO share whose receipt has to be uploaded along with the application, as per the media statement.

Payment through esewa:

Local residents of Sindhupalchowk can pay their IPO amount through esewa. Esewa has come up with this service to facilitate the locals as it would be hectic to going through the hassles and a lot of Baking institutions are closed where they could pay their IPO applied amount. 

The new arrangement is expected to help a lot of applicants from the district to apply for the IPO during the current situation of prohibitory orders and COVID transmissions.

Madhya Bhotekoshi Jalavidhyut Company Limited (MBJCL) is a public limited company incorporated on July 29, 2010. The company is promoted by Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) and Chilime Hydropower Company Limited (CHCL, 51% subsidiary of NEA) for setting up 102 MW run-of-river, Middle Bhotekoshi Hydroelectric Project in the Shindhupalchowk district of Nepal. The project is constructed under BOOT (Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer) mechanism. As per the Generation License, from GON- Ministry of Energy, dated December 03, 2013, the project shall be handed, on whatever conditions the project is, to the Government of Nepal after the expiry of the generation License, which is 35 years.
