Work begin on anfieled road development

It is a project that has taken some time to get going and the green light was given on the £60m redevelopment of the Anfield Road stand back in June, the work to add an additional 7,000 seats at Anfield to take the capacity of the Reds' famous home to beyond 61,000.

Liverpool have confirmed a 7,000-seat expansion of Anfield Road increasing the current capacity around 61,000. Making Anfield the 3rd highest capacity stadium in the league. Work will be completed for the 2023-24 season.

Sadio Mane scored his 100th goal in Liverpool shirt one of achievement that will be rememebered in Liverpool History.

Liverpool Squad Honor’s Salah’s Special Achievement

Mohamed Salah’s goal on Sunday was his 100th league goal for the club, making him the fifth-fastest player to reach the number in the Premier League era.

Salah notched his 100th goal in his 162nd league appearance for the club; only Alan Shearer (124), Harry Kane (141), Sergio Agüero (147), and Thierry Henry (160) reached 100 league goals faster than the Egyptian — Salah joins an illustrious list.

Salah’s achievement is actually more impressive than it looks: 98 of his 100 goals came in just 149 games for the club

To mark the accomplishment, Salah was presented with a Liverpool jersey with “100” on the back, and the team took photos to mark the very special moment.

With this Mohamed Salah is now 10th on Liverpool’s all-time top scorers list 🔴

RIP Sir Roger Hunt

Liverpool legend and former England international Roger Hunt has died at the age of 83, the club have announced.

The World Cup winner played 34 times for the Three Lions between 1962 and 1969, scoring 18 goals.

Hunt spent 11 years at Liverpool, scoring 285 goals in 492 games for the club, winning the league title twice and the FA Cup.

His 286 strikes was a record which stood for 23 years, only beaten by Ian Rush and he remains Liverpool's second highest scorer in their history.

Under Bill Shankly, Hunt formed a lethal partnership with Ian St.John, firing the Reds to the second division title in 1962, before a pair of top-flight championships in 1964 and 66 respectively.

Landmark created by Jordan Henderson

Jordan Henderson made his 400th appearance for Liverpool during their Champions League game against Porto.

Henderson was named in Liverpool ’s starting XI to face the Portuguese side, with Jurgen Klopp making just one change to the team which faced Brentford on Saturday.

That is good news for Henderson, who has reached a personal landmark, becoming the 27th player to reach 400 appearances for Liverpool in all competitions.

Henderson joined the Reds from Sunderland in June 2011 and his longevity is underlined by the fact he is the first Liverpool player since Steven Gerrard in October 2007 to bring up the quadruple-century.

Henderson is also just the 14th man to play 60 games in Europe for Liverpool.
